Asylum Claim
The asylum process can feel uncertain, but you are not alone. At every stage, there is support to help you navigate the system and move forward, no matter the outcome. The Welcome Project is here to guide you through the process and ensure you have access to advice, practical help, and a community that cares.
Step by Step:
Move into initial accommodation
You may be placed in temporary housing while your claim is being processed.
Be dispersed to a new town
The Home Office may relocate you to a different area for longer-term accommodation.
Have your main interview
This is your opportunity to explain why you are seeking asylum in detail.
Receive a Home Office decision
The government will assess your claim and determine your asylum status.
Receive your documents
If your claim is successful, you will receive documents confirming your right to stay in the UK.
